If your SASSA R350 application has been declined, you can apply for a reconsideration so that your application can be reviewed. Reasons for declining include alternative source of income, government payroll, if you are already receiving NSFAS funds, if you qualify for UIF, identity verification failed, or if you are a recipient of another SASSA grant.

You have the right to appeal within 30 days of receiving the declined reason. SASSA Reconsideration can be made on the SRD website. Click on the “application for consideration”. There is no set time to appeal. Applicants will receive a response when the process is done.
